v0.5 published


Hey,

This update contains mainly bug fixes and reworks/foundations for future content:

  • Fixed cooldown and duration of the Snipe weapon (the “third” one, it’s a working title ;))
  • Disabled “summon” particles (the ones emitted from destroyed enemies that fill up the boss summon progress bar). They were hitting performance badly at higher levels. They didn’t have much value tbh, maybe I’ll come back with something better.
  • Fixed pause. You can now pause for as long as you want and the game shouldn’t break, yay! This actually required some deeper reworks under the hood.
  • Tweaks to “trauma” effect (screen shake) when the boss is summoned. Also fixed a bug where a screen shake wouldn’t be triggered in certain situations.
  • Tweaks to enemy power scaling
  • Fixed max enemy power available - there was a bug where finishing a run on much lower enemy power would override (reduce) the max enemy power available. This is fixed now
  • Experimental performance tweak with hit labels

Full controller support (both in-game and in UI) plus an in-game menu with an option to leave & save is still high on the list - I just spent too much time on reworks and bug fixes this time 😅
